CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – His debut at the 2015 National Basketball Players Association Top 100 Camp may have been delayed for 24 hours.

But for the guy increasingly being known “Bam Bam”, there was little hesitation in his dropping a metaphorical hammer on his opposition in the University of Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena Thursday.

The 6-foot-9 Edrice Adebayo (Pinetown, NC, Northside) is a consensus as one of the very best “power forward-types” in the Class of 2016.

And Adebayo gave a complete demonstration as to why that is the case during his two games with the “Grizzlies” during Day II of competition of the 22^nd version of camp.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – If there had been a sudden invasion of mosquitoes in the John Paul Jones Arena on the University of Virginia campus Wednesday afternoon or evening, it wouldn’t have been an issue for long.

That’s because, without question, Jethro Tshisumpa would have quickly swatted them from existence during the first day’s game action of the 22^nd National Basketball Players’ Association Top 100 Camp.

The 6-foot-9 senior-to-be from Cedar Hill, TX (by way of the Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA) was credited with 10 shot blocks for the “Cavaliers” camp team.

REDONDO BEACH, Ca. — The Redondo Union Boys Basketball Summer Bash Classic is on tap for this weekend at Redondo High.

Sixteen teams will play in pool-play (four pools) on Friday and Saturday with bracket action beginning Sunday morning.

Among the participants are the host Seahawks, Bishop Montgomery, Long Beach Poly, Westchester, Inglewood and Compton.

Action tips off at 5 o’clock Friday evening with play resuming on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10 o’clock. The championship game is set for 3 p.m. on Sunday.

CARSON, Ca. – Time, through the passing of college seasons and NBA Drafts, will ultimately provide a more accurate appraisal.

But the 13^th Pangos All-American High School Camp, which wrapped up mid-Sunday afternoon at Cal State Dominguez Hills, appeared to be one of the better ones produced and directed by event founder Dinos Trigonis of the Belmont Shore Basketball Club.

The approximately 110 players who participated in the three-day event included a healthy portion of quality prospects from all regions of the United States – most notably the East Coast and, of course, Southern California.

CARSON, Ca. – The East Coast is being represented quite admirably at the 13^th Pangos All-American Camp, thank you very much.

Rawle Alkins, Myles Powell, Keith Williams, Taurean Thompson, Isaiah Washington, Shamorie Ponds, Bryce Aiken and Mustapha Heron are among those who were seeing to that on Saturday’s second day of the camp at Cal State Dominguez Hills.

*Alkins (6-foot-4/NYC Christ The King), who had a strong spring for the New York Rens on the adidas circuit after a sterling prep junior season, continued to make a strong on-court argument that he is as good as any “shooting/2 guard” in the national class of 2016.
