REDONDO BEACH, Ca. – The 2017-18 Southern California boys’ basketball season gets off to what should be a rousing beginning Monday afternoon at Redondo Union High.
The 66th Ryse Williams Pac Shores Tournament – with a title revised to honor the former Redondo standout who passed away last June after a bout with cancer – will feature eight games today in the school’s main and auxiliary gymnasiums.
Six programs that participated in the Southern Section or L.A. City Section Open Division playoffs are among those in what will be one of the strongest fields of any pre-Christmas event in California.
