Six-foot-eight Christian Collins, one of the top junior-to-be basketball prospects in Southern California, has enrolled at St. John Bosco High, several sources say.
Reached for comment Wednesday night, Matt Dunn would not confirm that Collins – who played at St. Bernard as a freshmen and sophomore and began attending Westchester in the spring – is coming to the school.
If Collins is with the Braves this coming season, it would strengthen a roster already good enough to challenge for a Trinity League title, another trip to the CIF Southern Section Open playoffs and another state championship.
Led by BurlisonOnBasketball SoCal Sophomore of the Year Brandon McCoy Jr. and Class of 2025 standout Elzie Harrington (already committed to attend Harvard University in 2025-26), the Braves knocked off San Ramon Valley last March in Sacramento to win the State D-I title.
Collins (pictured) was terrific, on-court, in the spring and summer on the Nike/EYBL Circuit with the Why Not 16s and was outstanding in four games with Westchester during the June 28-30 Cali Live in Roseville (near Sacramento).
Collins earned a spot in the Second 30 All-Star game during the June 2-4 Pangos All-American Camp in Las Vegas. He also was a standout during the July 11 Pangos Premier 80 Showcase at McBride High in Long Beach.
