LAS VEGAS – Two of the top players in the camp could be matched up Tuesday morning as the third and final day of the 22nd Pangos All-American boys’ basketball camp is set to tip.
When the North Carolina and Virginia camp squads hook up at 9:30 on Court 1, it’s likely that Tounde Yessoufou (St. Joseph of Santa Maria in central California) and Jacob Lanier (Maumelle in Arkansas) could go head-up at each end of the floor.
The 6-foot-6 Yessoufou (a Top 30 all-star selection here a year ago) is a probable Top 5 player here from the class of 2025 while the 6-6 Lanier (pictured, courtesy Devin Ugland) – the Most Outstanding Player at the Pangos All-South Frosh/Soph Camp in Texas last October – has been the standout from the class of 2026 over the first two days here.
The most anticipated games of the final day are the Top 60 and Top 30 all-star games that are scheduled for 1:30 and 2:30 p.m., respectively.
But there is also a chance that that the two (of 12) camp squads with the best collection of backcourt players could meet for the team championship at 12:15.
Notre Dame (of the ACC) and Illinois (Big Ten) will take 3-0 records into their final “conference” games Tuesday morning and will face off in that title game if they prevail.
Notre Dame is led by Brayden Burries (Roosevelt in Southern California’s Eastvale) with other electric guard prospects in Issac Williamson (Burries’ prep teammate), Dorian Hayes (Ridge Point in Missouri City, TX) and Ikenna Alozie (Dream City Christian in Glendale, AZ).
The Illinois backcourt standouts are led by Jerry Easter (La Lumiere in La Porte, IN) and include Gavin Hightower (Windward in Los Angeles), Darrell Brown Jr. (West Nottingham Academy in Maryland) and Kevin Odih (South Kent in Connecticut).
