West Ranch and Etiwanda with quick turn-around for Saturday rematch

PASADENA – West Ranch and Etiwanda, which hooked up in a Classic at Damien Platinum Division game last week, get a return match Saturday evening at 7 o’clock during the eight-game, SoCal Showdown at Pasadena City College.

West Ranch (No. 4 in the BurlisonOnBasketball Top 20 and 16-1 before its Foothill League game with Golden Valley Friday night) defeated Etiwanda (No. 8 and 11-3 before its Baseline League opener with Chino Hills Friday), 61-52, in the Dec. 30 Platinum fifth-place game at Damien High.

The event gets underway at 9:30 with Valencia taking on Oak Hills.

And it wraps with Village Christian (No. 14 and 14-3) playing 11-6 Rancho Verde at 8:30 p.m.
