LAGUNA NIGUEL – The Sierra Canyon High Trailblazers, flush after the victory that moved them atop the BurlisonOnBasketball Top 25, will head east for some more challenges over Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend.
Coach Andre Chevalier’s club has a Gold Coast League game against Viewpoint on Wednesday another long trek to face Milwaukee Dominican (Saturday) and Fairfax (VA) Paul VI (next Monday) in the Hoop Hall Classic in Springfield, MA.
Also making appearances in the event with be No. 2 Rancho Christian (vs. Camden of New Jersey Saturday and Hyattsville, MD, DeMatha on Monday) and No. 6 Mater Dei (vs. Arlington, VA, O’Connell Monday).
In significant games this week, relative to the CIF Southern Section Open Division’s eventual makeup and seedings, Mater Dei visits No. 9 St. John Bosco (Friday) in the Trinity League; No. 4 Etiwanda plays host to No. 17 Damien (Friday) in the Baseline League; No. 16 is at home to No. 7 Saint Anthony (Wednesday) in the Del Rey League; and No. 10 Windward visits No. 12 Heritage Christian in a non-league clash.
