HoopFest on tap at Orange Lutheran Monday

   LAGUNA NIGUEL – The final two weeks of the regular season tip off Monday morning with the 12-game Orange Lutheran High HoopFest.

   Among the games set are No. 4 in the latest BurlisonOnBasketball Top 25) Corona Centennial and Sacramento Sheldon (4:45 p.m.); No. 14 (Chino Hills and Onyeka Okongwu vs. Sacramento Grant (12:30 p.m.); No. 10 Mater Dei and St. Bernard (7:45 p.m.); and No. 13 Orange Lutheran and L.A Cathedral (6:15 p.m.).

   In a much cooler – literally not figuratively – portion of the country on Monday, No.’s 1 Sierra Canyon and 3 Rancho Christian take on national powerhouses Montverde (FL) Academy and Powder Springs (GA) McEachern in Springfield (MA) College’s Blake Arena in the final day of the Spalding HoopHall Classic.

  No.’s 2 Westchester and 5 Fairfax remain inactive due the strike of the L.A. City Schools Teachers’ Union.
