Fab 48, Las Vegas Classic action wraps up Sunday

LAS VEGAS – Morning quarterfinal action gets things under way during Sunday’s final day of the Fab 48 and Big Foot/Las Vegas Classic at, respectively, Bishop Gorman and Spring Valley high schools.

In the Fab 48’s 17U Invitational (top) bracket, Southern California-based The Truth faces a huge challenge in New York’s PSA Cardinals – led by 2019 elite point guard Cole Anthony – at 9:05 on Court 1 while Iowa’s Quad City takes on 2020 standout Anthony Edwards and his Atlanta Express squad on Court 2.

At 10:10, Drive Nation of Texas plays the New Jersey Playaz on Court 1 while Arkansas’ Joe Johnson Hawks take on (Washington) DC Premier at the same time on Court 2.

The semifinals are scheduled for 12:20 and the title game at 2:30.

In the Las Vegas’ Classic’s top division (17U Platinum Premier), the Oklahoma Power faces Southern California-based California Stars Elite (Court 1) and the Oakland Soldiers (with a squad largely made up of kids from SoCal) take on the Las Vegas Prospects (Court 2) at 9:05.

In the other two quarters, at 10:10, the Georgia Stars face Minnesota’s Howard Pulley (Court 1) and Chicago’s Mac Irvin Fire plays Seattle Rotary (Court 2).

The semifinals will be played at 12:20 with the finale set for 2:30.

Championships in a multitude of divisions will played at each event. For more details, check respective websites for brackets and schedules.

The Compton Magic (The Rebound at Rancho High) and Team Takeover (The 8 at Spring Valley) captured championships at other events on Saturday.
