LMU hosts top high school BB teams Sunday

LOS ANGELES – The Loyola Marymount University men’s basketball coaching staff and the LMU campus will host the “Lion King Shootout” on Sunday.

Thirteen of the better high school programs in Southern California are scheduled to participate in the nine games that are set to begin at 1 in the afternoon and wrap up about four hours later. The teams are made up of players who have eligibility for the 2016-17 season.

Admission to the event is $5.

The schedule:

1 p.m., (Court 1) Long Beach Poly vs. Cantwell-Sacred Heart; (Court 2) Santa Margarita vs. Bishop Montgomery; (Court 3) Redondo Union vs. Eastvale Roosevelt.

2, (Court 1) Lynwood vs. Westchester; (Court 2) Fairfax vs. Cerritos Gahr.

3, (Court 1) Santa Margarita vs. Cantwell-Sacred Heart; (Court 2) Bishop Montgomery vs. Long Beach Poly.

4, (Court 1) Westchester vs. Eastvale Roosevelt; (Court 2) Redondo Union vs. Lynwood.
