LIVERMORE, Ca. – The first-ever Prep2Prep California All-Star Basketball Classic, with a double-header of games pitting some of the top seniors and juniors between the northern and southern portions of California, tips off Sunday afternoon at Los Positas College.
At 1:30 the North will take on the South in the 2017 contest, with the west’s top player – guard Lonzo Ball of Chino Hills – leading the South in the 2016 game at approximately 3:30.
Among the others on the North roster will be two other players planning to join Ball in signing with UCLA in November in 6-foot-9 Ike Anigbogu (Corona Centennial) and 6-5 Kobe Paras (L.A. Cathedral-Middlebrooks Academy).
Included among the North 2016 standouts are guards Jordan Ford (Folsom), Colin Slater (Reedley Immanuel), Brandon Lawrence (Hayward Moreau), Jordan Ratinho (Concord De La Salle) and Christian Terrell (Sacramento).
Some of the South 2017 standouts include Ethan Thompson (Torrance Bishop Montgomery), LiAngelo Ball (Ball’s younger brother, also from Chino Hills) and Cody Riley and Remy Martin (each from Chatsworth Sierra Canyon).
Leading the North’s 2017 roster are forward Alfred Hollins (San Francisco Sacred Heart) and guards Damari Milstead (Hayward Moreau Catholic) and Jade Smith (Alameda St Joseph-Notre Dame).
Information on tickets for the games and the Saturday night team banquet, as well as live-streaming of the games, can be found at http://www.prep2prep.com/allstarclassic/2015/default.aspx.
