*El Toro at Mission Viejo (7): Like the aforementioned games, this South Coast League showdown pits squads on the Open Division “Watch List” that are probably the two best in the O.C. after Mater Dei. This is the very definition of an intense and highly competitive rivalry between very well-coached squads of players that, in many cases, grew up as buddies and are club ball teammates. Not tonight, though (smile).
*Lynwood at Downey (7): This San Gabriel Valley League opener matches the consensus best squads in the league. Senior guard Kevin Miller of Lynwood is one of the better players in Southern California.
