If you’ve found yourself on this website and are reading this, there is a strong likelihood we’ve got something in common.
You must share my passion for basketball. So, bookmark this site.
What will you find in these entries?
This anecdote should give you a clue:
During 1987, I covered the Lakers-Celtics Championship series (Magic Johnson vs. Larry Bird!) and the NCAA championship final (Keith Smart’s jump shot gives Bob Knight and Indiana the win over Jim Boeheim’s Syracuse team in New Orleans).
Oh, yes . . . I also wrote game stories for the newspaper about the California State high school and community college championship games . . . and the Long Beach Middle School (junior high) boys’ hoops’ title game.
So, if it sounds like it’s pretty much all hoops, all the time, for me . . . you’re not far off.
I’m no longer working full-time for a daily newspaper, so this is the place to come to find my reporting and opinions on the world of hoops, from the NBA (and its draft) . . . to college (and its all-encompassing recruiting sub-set) . . . to high school (“real” high school competition as well as the grassroots/travel ball/camp scene).
And, just to show that it’s NOT all hoops, all the time – don’t be surprised to see the occasional movie or television show review here as well.
I’ve got a wide variety of interests . . . it just doesn’t always seem that way.
